We will have 2 tunnels for one hour, so be sure to come out and get some preseason batting practice.

Sub Sale!

The girls' softball team is selling subs to raise money for our program. They are $4.00 each, and they come from Zink's Meats. We will be selling them until January 20th and making them on January 30th. The girls will deliver them that weekend or on Monday, February 1st.

Indians end great season in Regional Semis...

The varsity softball team lost to a very good Bishop Ready team 7-0 on Thursday in the DIII Regional Semifinals. Despite the loss, the team had an excellent season (18-11 overall) finishing 2nd in the SWBL (9-3) and winning a District Championship. The following players were honored for having excellent seasons as well...

District Champions!!!

The varsity softball team is District Champions! We beat Miami East in a very exciting district final today at Tipp City Middle School. We jumped out ahead 4-0 with 2 runs in the 2nd and 2 more in the 3rd...but the Vikings from Miami East stormed back in the top of the 7th with 3 runs of their own. With 2 outs and the tying run on third, Stefaney Turner got the Miami East batter to fly out to the center fielder Lexi Murphy for the final out and the championship.

We now play Bishop Ready in the Regional Semifinals at Wright State University on Thursday, May 28 @ 5:00.

District Finals!!!

The girls' softball team defeated Blanchester 5-2 on Monday, now advancing to the District Finals on Friday. We play Miami East at Tipp City Middle School at 5:00.

Indians advance to sectional finals...

The varsity softball team beat Dayton Christian 12-0 on Monday setting up Friday's game with #4 seed Hamilton Badin. In the Badin game, the team took a 4-0 lead into the 6th inning, but allowed the Rams 3 unearned runs. We held on to win 4-3 and now will face Blanchester on Monday in the sectional finals.

Indians finish regular season with a 3 and 2 week...

On Monday, the varsity softball team lost to Madison 3-0. Tuesday, the team played an excellent game both offensively and defensively, beating Monroe 5-0. Stefaney Turner faced only one more than the minimum 21 batters by pitching a one-hitter. On Friday, Carlisle hosted Dayton Carroll and pulled out the victory 4-1. On Saturday, we hosted Arcanum for a double-header. We won the first game 3-0, but dropped the second game 8-7.

The team finished the regular season 14-10 and 9-3 in the league to finish in 2nd place.

On Monday, we host Dayton Christian at 5:00 in the first round of the Sectional Tournament.

Another successful week...

The Carlisle varsity softball team went 3-0 this week to extend the current winning streak to 6. On Monday, we beat Preble Shawnee 7-2. Stefaney Turner picked up her 8th win of the year as the offense had 10 hits off their #1 pitcher. Tuesday, we beat Northridge 9-1. Desirae Bryant had 8 strikeouts. Against Dixie on Wednesday, the bats were working as the team had 16 hits, including a 4-for-5 effort by Abby Hamilton and a 3-run homerun by Stefaney Turner. We won 12-3.

The team is now 11-8 and 8-2 in the SWBL Buckeye, 2 games behind Madison. Next week we have 2 big league games...Madison on Monday and Monroe on Tuesday.

This Sunday, we will find out who and where we will play in the sectional tournament. The sectional begins on May 11th or 13th, with the sectional finals on the 15th. Click on the link to the right to see dates and times.

Great week for CHS softball!!!

The varsity softball team went 3-1 this week and is currently on a 3-game winning streak. On Wednesday, the team lost a to a very good Madison team 3-1. We rebounded on Thursday with a 4-1 win at Waynesville. On Friday, we beat Monroe 7-6 in 8 innings, and on Saturday we beat Franklin 6-3 in a "Strike Out Cancer" game. The JV team went 1-1 this week beating Waynesville and losing to Franklin.

Week 3 finished...keeping pace in the SWBL.

The varsity softball team went 2-0 in the league this week, beating Waynesville (9-5) and Northridge (15-5). We are now 3-1 in the SWBL with 3 big league games coming up this week.

In nonleague play the team lost to a good West Carrollton team on Thursday (4-3), and split a double header with National Trail on Saturday. We won the first game 7-2, but lost the second 13-9. The team is 5-7 overall.

The JV team went 1-1 during the week, losing to West Carrollton on Thursday and defeating Northridge on Friday.

Great time in Myrtle Beach...

While it was snowing here in Carlisle, the varsity softball team had a great time in Myrtle Beach. The team played some tough competition in the Grand Strand Softball Classic, going 1-4.

Everyone had a blast going to the pool, the beach, and out to eat. We had three team nights, including dinner at the Carolina Roadhouse, a cookout at Coach Shelton's, and a round of putt-putt at Treasure Island. I just want to thank all of the parents who were willing to go on this trip...without you, we would not have been able to pull it off. Also, thanks to the Shelton's for inviting everyone to their house in Holden Beach.

Week 1 in the books...

The varsity softball team finished Week 1 with one win and one loss. On Monday, we lost to Preble Shawnee 10-0. On Wednesday, we beat Dixie 8-3. Stefaney Turner got the win to even her record at 1-1. Elizabeth McKinney led the team with 4 RBIs. The JV team lost at Dixie on Wednesday, 27-7.

Now we're off to Myrtle Beach to play in the Grand Strand Softball Classic...5 games in 5 days.
